How far is The Arcady at Boon Keng from the MRT and the city?

The Arcady at Boon Keng is about a 6-minute walk from Boon Keng MRT station on the North East Line, on the developer's estimate. From there the city is a short ride away: Dhoby Ghaut is three stops down the line, and drivers reach the PIE, CTE and MCP in about 5 minutes.

Walking from The Arcady at Boon Keng to Boon Keng MRT

The development sits at 2 Saint Barnabas Lane, off Serangoon Road in District 12, within the Kallang planning area. The developer puts the walk from the tower to Boon Keng station at about 6 minutes, which places the North East Line within an easy stroll for residents of every floor. Because the main drop-off, the Grand Arrival, is at Basement 1 and three lifts serve every level, the trip from a front door to the street is direct.

Access is by card, with lobby entry linked to an intercom that rings through to residents' mobile phones, so visitors arriving by train can be let in without a resident heading down. Taxis and private-hire cars use the same Basement 1 drop-off, which keeps arrivals under cover in wet weather.

The Boon Keng MRT and North East Line guide covers the station in more detail, and the location overview for The Arcady at Boon Keng maps the walking routes, schools, markets and parks around the site.

How The Arcady at Boon Keng reaches the city by train

Boon Keng is a short run from the city on the North East Line. Farrer Park is one stop away, Little India two, and Dhoby Ghaut three. For a resident heading to work or school in town, that means a short walk followed by a ride of only a few stops, with no change of line needed for those three stations.

The developer also points to the view in the other direction. From the high floors of The Arcady @ Boon Keng, the city skyline and Marina Bay Sands are in sight, and the Sky Gym on the 14th storey looks towards the same skyline. The city is close enough to be part of the outlook as well as the commute.

Farrer Park also brings City Square Mall within reach, which is about a 3-minute drive from the site. The guide to City Square Mall, Little India and Farrer Park explains what the neighbouring stations offer for shopping and dining.

Potong Pasir as a second station for The Arcady at Boon Keng

Residents of Arcady Boon Keng are not tied to a single station. Potong Pasir MRT, also on the North East Line, is about a 15-minute walk or a 4-minute drive from the site. From Potong Pasir, Woodleigh is one stop away and Serangoon two. The Poiz Centre sits at Potong Pasir, The Woodleigh Mall at Woodleigh and NEX at Serangoon, so the same line serves both the commute into town and weekend errands to the north-east.

Having two stations on the same line gives some flexibility. A resident heading towards the city walks to Boon Keng; one heading towards Serangoon can start at Potong Pasir and skip the backtrack.

Buses, expressways and parking at The Arcady at Boon Keng

A bus stop sits at the doorstep, which suits short trips and rainy-day journeys. For drivers, the developer estimates about 5 minutes to the major expressways: the Pan Island Expressway, the Central Expressway and the Marina Coastal Expressway. The Serangoon Road, PIE and CTE connectivity guide sets out the road links in more depth.

Parking is spread over two basement levels, with 172 car park lots for 172 homes, a 1:1 ratio, plus 3 accessible lots. A vehicular gantry controls access, and power provision has been made for future electric-vehicle chargers. The site plan of The Arcady at Boon Keng shows the basement layout alongside the communal levels.

Cycling from The Arcady at Boon Keng along the Kallang Park Connector

The Kallang Park Connector at Bendemeer Road is about an 8-minute walk from the tower. From there the developer gives these cycling estimates: about 29 minutes to Kallang Riverside Park and about 48 minutes to Marina Bay Sands. The Whampoa Park Connector leads in the other direction, towards Novena. For residents who prefer to ride, there are 29 bicycle lots at Basement 1.

The Kallang Park Connector and riverside guide follows the route towards the river and the bay.

The developer's aerial view marks the Kallang River, the Singapore Sports Hub, the Singapore Flyer, Gardens by the Bay and Marina Bay Sands, which gives a sense of how the river corridor leads from the neighbourhood towards the waterfront. For a weekend ride or an early-morning run, the connector turns the city into a destination that can be reached without a car or a train.
